When Haruno Kano, a 16 year old baseball prodigy, transfers to Ishikura High School to join the baseball team, he's surprised to find out that no one wants him to join - especially American immigrant student, Alex.
 
Turns out, the jersey he'd wear, No. 10, is the jersey number from a former teammate who had suddenly disappeared without any trace.
 
Confident that this member is still alive somewhere, Haruno proposes to find the player by the end of the season; and with Alex, his friend Lillian, and the rest of the team, they work together to find the No. 10 missing player- and something that they never expected.
