Eleio, a kukini (messenger) in King Kaka’alaneo’s court, comes across a mysterious young woman who is seemingly faster than him. After she tells him she is a spirit, and with the help of her family, they restore her life and thank him with the first ahu’ula (feather cloak).

The First Feather Cloak is 1 of 5 comics in the MAUI STRONG comics anthology that aims to bring the Maui community together after the devastating August 8th Maui wildfires that tore Lahaina apart.

The project has been fully funded on Zoop and covered by local Hawai'i news. 

A release is currently in the works.
